Must be at least 8 characters long.
Can use special characters.
The password can comply with the Windows strong password requirement to include uppercase
letters (A,B,C) or lowercase letters (a,b,c) or numbers (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) or symbols (` ~ ! @ #
$ % ^ & * ( ) _ - + = { } [ ] \ | : ; " ' < > , . ? / ).
4. Click Update.
The new user is added to the list of users in the lower pane of the CIFS server tab.
Navigate to StoreOnce > NAS Shares to provide individual users access to specific shares.

Changing a local user password from the StoreOnce CIFS server

Prerequisites
The authentication mode is currently set to User.
Procedure
1. Navigate to StoreOnce > NAS > CIFS Server tab.
2. Select to highlight the user name.
3. Click Edit.
4. Enter the new password.
5. Click Update.
The new password takes effect immediately.

Deleting a local user from the StoreOnce CIFS server

Prerequisites
The authentication mode is currently set to User.
Procedure
1. Navigate to the CIFS server tab.
2. Select the service set where the user is configured.
3. Select the user to be deleted (the name will be highlighted), and click Delete.
4. A prompt will open to confirm the deletion of the local user. Click OK.
The user has been removed from the system.
