Member Service
Federated store is selected.

Federation

Member list
selected. For each member it displays:
Immutable Period
Check this box to enable the Data Immutability feature and then specify the
number of days for the Immutable Period. The default is 30. The Immutable Period
begins when the item is tagged as Complete by the backup application.
The Data Immutability feature prevents the backup application from modifying or
deleting StoreOnce Catalyst items during the Immutable Period. However,
StoreOnce administrators can still delete the store through the StoreOnce
appliance. When using Data Immutability, it is essential that the backup application
administrator is not also a StoreOnce administrator. Data Immutability is often used
on a secondary or tertiary StoreOnce System where you can more easily
implement administrator separation.
The Immutable Period includes a five minute grace period. For the first five
minutes after a backup completes, you can delete a Catalyst item. After the grace
period ends, the Immutable Period begins.
NOTE: Not all StoreOnce Catalyst backup applications support Data Immutability.
See the HPE Data Availability, Protection and Retention Compatibility Matrix for a
list of supported applications.
Cloud Bank
Check this box to enable storage using the cloud storage of a service provider.
Cloud Service
If Cloud Bank is selected, select the appropriate service provider from the drop-
Provider
down list.
Amazon:
Access Key
The access key (username) of the cloud storage.
Secret Key
The secret key (password) of the cloud storage.
Bucket Name
The bucket name of the cloud storage.
Use Proxy
Check this box to connect to the cloud storage of a service provider through a
proxy server.
The Status of the service set
Whether the service set is Write-Disabled or Write-Enabled. When marked
Write-Disabled, no new StoreOnce Catalyst items will be created on the
Federation member although you can still restore existing StoreOnce Catalyst
items from the member.
This option is primarily used to "expire" a Federation member. For example, to
remove the data associated with a service set you can configure a member as
Write-Disabled, allow or force all StoreOnce Catalyst items to expire, and then
remove the member from the Federation.
