Prerequisites
Only administrators can create stores.
Procedure
1. Navigate to StoreOnce > StoreOnce Catalyst > Stores
2. Click Create.
3. Select a service set for the new store and click OK. The information on the service set tells you how
many stores are still available.
To create a Federated store, select multiple service sets. These become the Federation members.
4. Provide the store details as described in Viewing the store details on page 91.
NOTE: If the proper license was applied, an Encryption Enabled check box is displayed. To enable
encryption for the new store, you must do it at this time by checking the Encryption Enabled box.
If the proper license was applied, a Cloud Bank check box is displayed. If you select the box to make
the store a Cloud Bank store, additional fields are displayed. Once a store is created, it cannot be
changed to or from a Cloud Bank store.
5. When you have completed the store details, click Create.
The store is created and displayed in the Stores list where its status changes from Creating to Online.
To enable the Secure Erase feature, edit the store details.
6. If creating a Cloud Bank Catalyst store, the system first verifies that:
the Cloud Service Provider can be contacted.
the credentials to the Cloud Service Provider are valid.
the credentials allow PUT, GET, LIST, and DELETE operations.
the bucket/container exists.
the SSL certificate can be authenticated.
If using a self-signed SSL certificate, a confirmation window opens. Review the SSL certificate
details, check the Trust This Certificate box, and then click OK.
If any of these tests fail, you are returned to the Create screen with the appropriate inputs highlighted.
The store is not created until all tests pass.
If Store Encryption is enabled, a window opens requesting that you protect the Cloud Bank Encryption
Key by storing it in a safe place. In the case of disaster recovery, you might need to provide the Cloud
Bank Encryption Key when re-attaching to the Cloud Bank Catalyst store.
Provide a password to encrypt the Cloud Bank Encryption Key.
Copy and paste the encrypted key and save it locally for future use.
