IMPORTANT: Connect (Read Write) is only possible 24 hours after disconnect or in a disaster
scenario.
Only one StoreOnce System can be Connected (Read Write) to a particular Cloud Bank store at a
time.

Connecting (Read Only) to a Cloud Bank store

Connecting (Read Only) allows a Cloud Bank store to be read by multiple StoreOnce Systems. After
connection, the store remains read-only on this StoreOnce system. If the cloud store is currently
Connected (Read Write) to another StoreOnce System, the read-only store will refresh from the cloud
periodically.
Prerequisites
• Only administrators can connect Cloud Bank stores.
• The cloud store was detached by a StoreOnce System or was Connected (Read Write) within the
previous 60 days.
Procedure
1. Navigate to the StoreOnce > StoreOnce Catalyst > Stores.
2. Click Connect.
3. Select a service set for the store and click OK.
The information on the service set indicates how many stores are still available.
4. Select a cloud service provider.
5. Provide the details of the cloud service provider.
The information needed depends on the cloud service provider selected.
6. Click OK.
The Catalyst Store Details are displayed.
7. If Import Encryption Key is enabled, the StoreOnce System is missing the required encryption key.
Click Import Encryption Key. Provide the encryption key string and the password.
8. Click Connect (Read Only).
IMPORTANT: Changes in a Connected (Read Write) store such as new, modified, or deleted
Catalyst items can take time to become fully consistent in the cloud. As a result, it can take time for
changes to become fully available for any StoreOnce Systems Connected (Read Only) to this store.
For any stores Connected (Read Only) with a Connected (Read Write) store making changes, be
sure that enough time has passed before attempting to use new backups.

Detaching Cloud Bank stores

Detaching a Cloud Bank Storage uses Cloud Bank Storage Detach Capacity licenses equal to the size in
the cloud of the detached store. Once detach is complete, the Cloud Bank Storage Detach Capacity
license is reduced by the store size in the cloud. This operation removes the store from a StoreOnce
System and leaves the detached store in a read-only state. The equivalent value of Detach Capacity that
