Barrier Panel

1. Prepare the printer for maintenance (page 520).
2. Loosen (do not remove) the two #2 Phillips hold-down screws on the rear
of the printer. (See page 540, item 4.)
3. Remove the top cover assembly. (See page 527.)
4. Loosen the screws in the top corners of the barrier panel.
(See Figure 115.)

5. Adjust the top portion of the barrier panel so that it protrudes forward,
towards the front of the printer 1/10 inch. Use a measurement scale as a
guide. (See Figure 116.)
6. Tighten the screw.

7. Install the top cover assembly. (See page 527.)
8. Return the printer to normal operation (page 520).
