Explanation
Status message informing
the operator that the printer
is undergoing a system
reset.
Flash memory has not
passed boot initialization
tests.
Flash memory has not
passed boot initialization
tests.
Status message: the printer
is running its initialization
routines after startup and
successful memory tests.
Status message: the DC on
the controller board is
waiting for communication
with the EC. If this message
does not clear within a few
seconds there is an
electrical or electronic
problem on the controller
board.
Solution
No action is required.
1. Cycle power. If the message
appears again, reseat the flash
SIMM.
2. Power on the printer. If the
message appears, replace the
flash SIMM.
3. Power on the printer. If the
message appears, replace the
controller board. Record the
message and return it with the
defective board.
