Is the paper path free of obstructions and contaminations?

Enter the Diagnostics menu, and then navigate to:
Scanner diagnostics > Sensor tests

Find the sensor (ADF media exit).
Does the sensor status change while toggling the sensor?

Check the sensor cable for proper connection, and then reseat if
necessary.
Does the problem remain?

Replace the sensor.

Enter the Diagnostics menu, and then navigate to:
Scanner diagnostics > Motor tests > ADF transport

Touch Start.
Does the motor run?
Step 9
Check the motor cable for proper connection, and then reseat if
necessary.
