Shift Switch Input Line Open Circuit Inspection
Disconnect the PCM 33 P ( Black ) connector
( page 4
- 34 ) .
Check for
continuity between the wire harness side
left handlebar switch 6 P ( Black ) connector [ 1 ] and
PCM 33 P ( Black ) connector [ 2 ] terminals
.
Connection
: Blue / yellow
- A 7
Light green / red - A 30
TOOL :
Test probe

YES

GO TO STEP 4

Open circuit in the Blue / yellow wire
• Open circuit in the Light green/ red wire

Check for continuity between the wire harness side
PCM 33 P ( Black ) connector [ 1 ] terminals and
ground .
Connection : A 7 - Ground
A 30 - Ground

Is there continuity ?
YES

• Short circuit in the Blue / yellow wire
•
Short circuit in the Light green/ red wire
NO
-
Replace the PCM with a known good one ,
and recheck

EOT Sensor System Inspection
Check the EOT sensor with the MCS .
Is about 0 V indicated ?
YES

GO TO STEP 2 .
NO

Intermittent failure

EOT Sensor Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF .
Disconnect the EOT sensor 2 P ( Black ) connector
( page 12 - 79 )

Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop switch

Check the EOT sensor with the MCS .
Is about 0 V indicated ?
YES
-
GO TO STEP 4

NO
