Switch the processing activity (SWACT) to the inactive unit by typing
>SWACT
and pressing the Enter key.
If SWACT
cannot continue at this time
can continue at this time

Do not switch activity of the units. Reject the SWACT by typing
>NO
and pressing the Enter key.
The system discontinues the SWACT.
Return to step 1 during a period of low traffic.

Confirm the system prompt by typing
>YES
and pressing the Enter key.
The system runs a pre-SWACT audit to determine the ability of the inactive
unit to accept activity reliably.
Note: A maintenance flag appears when maintenance tasks are in
progress. Wait until the flag disappears before proceeding to the next
maintenance action.
If the message is
SWACT passed
SWACT failed
SWACT refused by SWACT
controller

Return to the Alarm Clearing Procedures to clear the alarm condition on the
inactive unit. When the alarm is cleared, return to step 1 of this procedure.
At the RCE frame

Place a sign on the active unit bearing the words Active unit—Do not touch.
This sign should not be attached by magnets or tape.
At the MAP terminal

Busy the inactive PM unit by typing
>bsy unit unit_no
and pressing the Enter key.
