Confirm the change. Type
>Y
and press the Enter key.

Exit the table. Type
>QUIT
and press the Enter key.
CAUTION
Transport network must know new MAC address
Before you return the DBIC to service, you must provide the
MAC address for the DBIC to the transport network. Contact
the network administrator for assistance.
Go to the submap of the STAR line drawer with the new NTEX54 card.
Select the card by placing the cursor on the DBIC.
From the pop-up menu select Describe/Modify Object. The Object
Description dialog box appears.
From the Object Description dialog box, select HSTP Application from the
fields under Object Attributes.
Select View/Modify Object Attributes.
Enter the new MAC address in the %LAC MAC Address field, for example,
0060381120a1.
Click the Verify button to check the information.
Click the OK button to close the Attributes dialog box.
Click OK to close the Object Description dialog box.
Place the cursor on the DBIC you want to return to service and use the mouse
to select
Maintenance -> DBIC -> Rts
from the pop-up menu.
Send any cards with faults for repair according to local procedure.
