3.3 Replacing the complete vehicle flank
35. Fasten the vehicle flank to the lateral reinforcement
with 4 self-piercing rivets (Ø 3.9x7.0).
NOTE!
Insert the new self-piercing rivets next to the
old rivet holes.
36. Fasten the vehicle flank to the A-pillar with 22 self-
piercing rivets (Ø 4.8x7.5).
Caution!
The high strength A-pillar reinforcements must
only be fastened with high strength structural
rivets.
NOTE!
Insert the new self-piercing rivets next to the
old rivet holes.
