Setting telnet and serial passwords
About this task
After the read-only and read-write passwords are set, they can be individually enabled or
disabled for the various switch access methods. When enabled, password security prompts
you for a password and the value is hidden. To enable or disable passwords, perform the
following procedure:

1. Access CLI through the Telnet protocol or a Console connection.
2. From the command prompt, use the cli password command to enable or disable
