The WIDS/WIPS functionality is driven by a process called RF Scan where APs
with radios configured for WIDS/WIPS or just the WIDS functionality, scan radio
bands/channels to collect information about neighboring APs and detected clients
in those bands/channels. They then send this information to their managed WLAN
switches over UDP.
