Extension Requirements
Extensions must be in a class of service that allows access to voice mail. They should also be allowed the
various levels of forwarding available on the Millennium. Refer to the Octel 200/300 Configuration for
Millennium Integration, COS attributes for Integrated Mailboxes section in this chapter for the class of
service attributes required.
Software Requirements
The voice mail feature of the Millennium requires Generic 6.1 version BAD4 or Generic 6.2, version
AAD4.

The necessary data boards and data cables are available from the PBX manufacturer as a Voice
Mail/ACD/Data Applications kit (VMAD), part number 188930-101.
The kit includes the data register board, an IDEA II (RS-422) board, an IDEA II (RS-232C) board,
and an assortment of data cables.
