ATTIC Link Digital Phone Extensions

A digital telephone station must be allocated for each ATTIC link. These stations must be properly
configured for the System 75 to interface with Octel 200/300.
.
Each system port may be assigned to more than one integration unit to the maximum for the Octel
200/300. The recommended ratio of units doing call processing to ports is 1 to 16. For example, if
the system has 32 ports, a total of four links should be assigned to call processing.
Octel recommends that each link be set up to do either call processing or message waiting, but not
both.
Configuration
Proceed with the System 75 configuration. Follow steps 1 through 7.
1. Allocate a convenient System 75 extension number for the link. This is referred to as EXTLX (X
refers to the link).
2. Add the station for the link's extension.
The links should be configured with ten call appearances − call-appr − of the link's extension.
See Figure 7.2-4.
3. Set up page 1 of the link's Station Data as shown in Figure 7.2-4. The Type must be 7405D.
.
Define the name entry to be in the format shown (where EXTLX is as defined in step 1 above).
Include an A- before the extension number. For example, A-382.
Assign Link 1 a coverage path (CPX) which has the attendant as its first coverage point. This
coverage path ensures that if Octel 200/300 isn't working, calls to Octel 200/300 default to the
attendant.
Refer to the COVERAGE PATH section, Configuration, step 6 in this chapter.
4. Set up the digital extensions configured for call processing in a hunt group. Designate the pilot
number of the hunt group as the destination for call coverage. Refer to the Hunt Group section in this
chapter.
5. Set up Page 2 of the station data (FEATURE BUTTON ASSIGNMENTS
6. Set up Page 3 of the Station Data (DISPLAY BUTTON ASSIGNMENTS
a.
Allocate a second extension number for Link 2. This extension is referred to as EXTL.
7. Repeat steps 1−5 for all links.
