OCTEL 200/300 CONFIGURATION

This section describes the changes that must be made to the Octel 200/300 configuration for message

waiting indication and called party identification.

To configure the Octel 200/300 with message waiting indication on an SL-1, the following configuration

changes must be made through the UPDATE program.

Mailbox and extension numbers must match for MWI to operate correctly.

System Parameters

To configure the Octel 200/300 with called party identification on an SL-1, the following configuration

changes must be made through the UPDATE program.

Mailbox and extension numbers must match for CPI to operate correctly.

COS Attribute 9 — LAMP OR DISPLAY PHONE MESSAGE

Assign COS Attribute 9 to those mailboxes that should have message

waiting indication (lamp or stutter dial tone).

System Parameter 116 — SHOULD INTEGRATION BE

Modify the value of System Parameter 116 to be .

The SLOTS Table is used to configure both Line Interface Cards (LICs)

and Integration Cards.

For each integration unit configured with one or more message waiting

links, the following is also configured:

Whether the link is enabled to perform lamp Message Waiting

Notification (MWN)

Whether the link is used as the system default link or lamp MWN

Specific COS or ranges of COS for which the link is to perform
