Call Coverage

All extensions that are to use Octel 200/300 for call coverage must be assigned Call Coverage Group that
includes Octel 200/300 as a coverage point. This may require addition of new Call Coverage Groups as
well as modification of existing groups.
Caution!
System 85 call coverage provides flexibility in designating how Octel 200/300 is to be used for call
coverage. Some questions to ask when specifying a coverage group that includes Octel 200/300 are as
follows:
Under what calling conditions (e.g., busy, RNA) should calls be forwarded to Octel 200/300?
-
Which of the three coverage points should be used to forward calls to Octel 200/300?
-
The following examples show how a coverage group may be specified to include
Coverage Conditions
Coverage Points
Configuration
Proceed with the coverage group configuration as follows:
1. List all of the Call Coverage Groups and note which ones need to be changed.
2. Make the hunt group pilot number be the last COVERAGE POINT in the Call Coverage Group for
each of the noted groups. Since the Octel 200/300 Group is a ACD/EUCD/UCD group, it must be the
last point in a coverage group.
3. Check that the number of rings for "Don't Answer" is one greater than the number of rings specified
for RNA in Octel 200/300.

Trunk Groups

Any incoming CO trunk group answered by Octel 200/300 must be terminated to the Octel 200/300 hunt
group. The group name for all trunk groups must use the format required for identification by Octel
200/300.
PB60019-01
AT&T System 85/Definity G2 Adaptive Integration
Every call coverage group that includes Octel
200/300 as a coverage point must specify a greater
number of rings for RNA than specifies.
For this example, assume that the condition describes coverage by the
Octel 200/300 with the following configuration:
Direct internal calls to coverage if station is active, busy, or RNA.
-
Direct external calls to coverage if station is busy or RNA.
-
.
RNA means a call is unanswered after four rings. (The number of
rings specified for RNA in must be less than four.)
To accomplish this set up the coverage group is as follows:
The first coverage point is the Octel 200/300 hunt group.
-
No second point is specified.
-
No third point is specified.
