Hunt Group

All of the ATTIC links to be used for call processing are to be configured into a hunt group. The hunt
group is configured as follows:

The links defined for message waiting are not part of the hunt group.
1. Select an unused hunt group for the ATTIC links. This hunt group is referred to as HX. Select an unused
extension number for the access number to this hunt group. This number will referred to as EXTNH.
2. Add hunt group HX to the system. Set up the unit group as shown in Figure 7.2-8. The hunt group
is a queuing UCD group (uniform call distribution), with all links that are going to perform call
processing as its members. Set the queue length to be equal to the number of links in the system.
3. Assign the hunt group a coverage path (CPX) which has the attendant as its first coverage point. This
coverage path ensures that if the Octel 200/300 isn't working, calls to the Octel 200/300 will default
to the attendant. Refer to Coverage Path, Configuration, number 6.
