For information about connecting the ONA to the Fabric Connect network, go to the Avaya Support website, http://support.avaya.com and download the latest documents for your Avaya Virtual Services Platform switch.

  • Page 11 Fabric Attach feature, which is used to establish control plane communication between the ONA and the SDN Controller. In this mode, the ONA must be connected to an Avaya SDN controller, which controls and manages the ONA. The SDN Controller Mode provides additional capabilities to the ONA such as the ability to upgrade software.

  • Page 17 Disconnect the ONA from the network switch and any device it may be attached to. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the ONA Device port to its Network port, as a loopback is required to run diagnostics. © 2016 Avaya Inc. NN48800-300 01-07 (700511108)
  • Page 18 (for a continuous error in the test) or slow blinking Magenta (tests are now passing but previous tests failed). If the ONA fails, return it to Avaya. The diagnostic tests do not exit automatically. You have to power cycle the ONA by disconnecting the Ethernet loopback cable and the external power adapter.
  • Page 19 This method uses a PC to access the ONA’s Manual Configuration menu. From the PC that you are going to use for this upgrade procedure, go to the Avaya Support website, http://support.avaya.com, and download the ONA software image that you want to use.
