7.2.7 INSTALLATION CHECKLIST

This section offers a checklist of issues relating to the Octel 200/300 and to the System 75. The list is
presented in the order in which the installation process should be followed. For details regarding any
topic, refer to the sections of this chapter pertaining to the issue.

Pre-Installation

Table 7.2-2 AT&T System 75 Software and Hardware Checklist

Description
1.
System 75 must provide analog telephone ports (2500 type) from its analog
line circuit cards (part number TN742 or TN746) to each of the ports in the
Octel 200/300 cabinet.
2.
System 75 must provide a digital port for each of the ATTIC links.
3.
25-pair cable per slot (male to female).
4.
PBX must be either Definity G1 release 1, or System 75, release 1, version
1 or later. No specific options required.

List the database. Highlight areas where changes are
required.
2.
Make note of the following definitions for ports:
Number of ports

Port extension number

Integrated (Y/N)

3.
If different company greetings will be used, enter the Access
Code for each route into the TRUNK GROUP Table. Obtain
Access Code numbers from AT&T vendor.
4.
Set the number of ring cycles before forwarding for all
mailboxes that are forwarded to Octel 200/300 to be one less
than the number of ring cycles in the System 75.
5.
Configure a slot in the SLOTS Table for every integration
card installed.
