IN-BAND INTEGRATION OPERATION

This section explains how a call is processed when it is received through a port configured for Enhanced
DTMF In-band Integration.
When the Octel 200/300 answers a call on a port configured for Enhanced DTMF In-band Integration, it
expects to receive a DTMF call record.
If the Octel 200/300 receives either an invalid call record or no call record before a specified timeout, the
port reverts to a non-integrated status and plays the default company greeting.
If errors are detected while receiving the call record, the system ignores (flushes) the digits until a
specified timeout is reached or three sequential DTMF A's are received. At this point, the call record is
dropped, the system reverts to non-integrated status, and the company greeting is played.
After successfully receiving the call record, the Octel 200/300 allows a short delay for the call to cut
through.
The Octel 200/300 processes the call, according to the type of call record. Table 3-1 gives the nineteen
possible types of call records.
Beginning with Serenade Release 3.0, call record types 13 through 19 have been added to support
enhanced DTMF in–band integration with MATRA PBX.
