DTC 81-4x (81-40 to 81-49, 81-4A to 81-4F),
81-5x (81-50 to 81-59, 81-5A to 81-5F),
81-63, 81-64: Internal Failure of the Front
Passenger's Weight Sensor Unit
1. Erase the DTC memory (see page 23-39).
2. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and check that the
SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and
then goes off.
Does the SRS indicator stay on?
YES Replace the front passenger's weight sensor
unit (see page 23-391).
NO Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time.
Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures (see
page 23-39).
'03-04 Models
DTC 85-4x (85-40 to 85-49, 85-4A to 85-4F),
85-5x (85-50 to 85-59, 85-5A to 85-5F),
85-63, 85-64: Internal Failure of the OPDS Unit
1. Erase the DTC memory (see page 23-39).
2. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and check that the
SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and
then goes off.
Does the SRS indicator stay on?
YES Replace the OPDS unit (see page 23-387).
NO Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time.
Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures (see
page 23-39).
