configure vlan protocol

configure vlan <vlan name> protocol [<protocol_name> | any]
Description
Configures a VLAN to use a specific protocol filter.
Syntax Description
vlan name
protocol_name
Default
Protocol Any.
Usage Guidelines
If the keyword is specified, all packets that cannot be classified into another protocol-based VLAN

are assigned to this VLAN as the default for its member ports.

The following command configures a VLAN named accounting as an IP protocol-based VLAN:
configure accounting protocol ip

Platform Availability
This command is available on all platforms.

Specifies a protocol filter name. This can be the name of a predefined protocol
filter, or one you have defined.
The following protocol filters are predefined:
• IP
• IPX
• NetBIOS
• DECNet
• IPX_8022
• IPX_SNAP
• AppleTalk
