Component LED Overview

T1600 Alarm Messages Overview

The following LEDs are located on various router components and display the status of
those components:
SIB LEDs—Three LEDs on each SIB faceplate—
status of that SIB.

T-CB LEDs—Three LEDs on each T-CB faceplate—
status of that T-CB. If no LEDs are lit, the T-CB is not receiving power.

LCC-CB LEDs—Three LEDs on each LCC-CB faceplate—
the status of that LCC-CB. The

port and LED are not currently supported. If no LEDs are lit, the LCC-CB
JCS LINK
is not receiving power.

SCG LEDs—Three LEDs on each SCG faceplate indicate the status of that SCG. If no
LEDs are lit, the SCG is not receiving power.

PIC LEDs—Each port on each PIC has an LED that indicates the status of the port.

Power supply LEDs—LEDs on each power supply faceplate indicate the status of that
power supply.

Power Supply LEDs" on page 68.
When the Routing Engine detects an alarm condition, it lights the red or yellow alarm
LED on the craft interface as appropriate, trips the corresponding alarm relay contact on
the CIP, and reports the cause of the alarm in the craft interface LCD. To view a more
detailed description of the alarm cause, issue the
user@host> show chassis alarms
There are two classes of alarm messages:
Chassis alarms—Indicate a problem with a chassis component such as the cooling
system or power supplies.
