Because of the T1600 router's size and weight—up to 606 lb (275 kg) depending on the
configuration—we strongly recommend that you install the router using a mechanical
lift.
Verify that the mounting hardware has been installed as described in Installing the

T1600 Mounting Hardware for a Four-Post Rack or Cabinet or Installing the T1600
Mounting Hardware for an Open-Frame Rack .
Remove the router from the shipping crate as described in "Unpacking the T1600

Gather the tools required to install the router.

Remove the power supplies.
