Deleting a device removes all device configuration information from the management
system, but might be the best solution if you need to perform extensive troubleshooting
or reconfigure the device locally.
To remove an Infranet Controller from NSM management:
In the NSM navigation tree, select Device Manager> Devices.

Click the Device Tree tab.
2.
From the device tree, select the Infranet Controller device that you would like to remove

from NSM management.
Right-click and select Delete, or click the Delete button. The Delete dialog box appears.

If the device is referenced in a firewall rule, this dialog box displays the rules that
reference it. You can click the links that appear to display the security policies to view
or edit those references.
Remove the device by clicking Next. The Delete dialog box displays the progress of

the deletion.
After NSM finishes, click Finish to close the dialog box.

To deactivate the DMI Agent in an Infranet Controller:
In the NSM navigation tree, select Device Manager> Devices.

From the device tree, select the Infranet Controller device in which you would like to

deactivate the DMI agent.
Click the Configuration tab. In the configuration tree, select System > Configuration

> DMI Agent.
In the DMI Agent page, clear the Enabled check box.

OK—Saves the changes.
Cancel—Cancels the modifications.
