To configure a MAC address authentication server for unmanageable devices:
In the NSM navigation tree, select Device Manager> Devices.

Click the Device Tree tab, and then double-click the Infranet Controller for which you

want to configure MAC address authentication.
Click the Configuration tab. In the configuration tree, select Authentication > Auth

Servers.
Add or modify MAC address authentication settings as specified in Table 46 on page 146.

OK—Saves the changes.
Cancel—Cancels the modifications.

Option Function
Auth Server Name Specifies a name for the auth server.
Auth Server Type Specifies the auth server type.
MAC Address Authentication Server > Optional LDAP Server
Optional LDAP Specifies the list of optional LDAP
Server servers.
MAC Address Authentication Server > MAC Adresses > MAC Addresses
MAC Address Specifies the MAC address.
Action Specifies if the MAC address is
authenticated.
MAC Address Authentication Server > MAC Adresses > Attributes
Your Action
Enter a name for the auth server.
Select MAC Address
Authentication.
Select the optional LDAP servers
from the Non-members list and click
Add to move it to the Members list.
Enter MAC address entries in the
format:
00:11:85:bb:8c:66
To enter wildcards, use the format
00:11:22*:*:* (a single asterisk
represents two characters).
Select Allow to grant
authentication.
Select Deny to refuse
authentication.
