1 DIGITAL I/O CONSOLE connectors (1/2)
These connectors are for future expansion. The cur-
rent software does not support them.
2 DIGITAL I/O ENGINE B jacks (1/2)
These are 68 pin D-sub connectors that exchange
multi-channel digital audio signals with the two
DSP1D-EX {DSP1D} DSP units (engines A/B) con-
nected in a mirror configuration to a single CS1D.
3 DIGITAL I/O ENGINE A jacks (1/2)
These are 68 pin D-sub connector that exchange
multi-channel digital audio signals with a connected
DSP1D-EX {DSP1D}.
With the current software, it is not possible to
simultaneously use both of the engines connected
to the console. The current software supports only
mirror mode, in which two engines are connected
to the console in a mirror configuration, and only
one engine is used.
Hint
The connectors of the DIGITAL I/O section will
operate correctly if either connector 1 or 2 is con-
nected. However by connecting both 1 and 2, you
can use one as a standby in the event of unexpected
problems. For normal operation, only one of the
cables will be used. If a communication error occurs
and transmission becomes impossible, the PM1D
system will automatically switch to the correctly-
functioning cable and will attempt to reestablish
communication.
