Removing And Installing Tensioning Device For V-Ribbed Belt - Skoda Octavia III 2013 Workshop Manual

Removing
– To release the tension of the V-ribbed belt, turn the tensioning
device anticlockwise -arrow-.
– Lock tensioning device with locking pin - T10060 A- .
Caution
There is a risk of destruction through reversing the rotation di‐
rection of an already used V-ribbed belt.
♦ Mark the direction of rotation with chalk or a felt-tip pen for
the re-installation before removing the V-ribbed belt.
– Remove poly V-belt.
Install
Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing,
observe the following:
– Lay the V-ribbed belt as shown in the illustration:
1 - Vibration damper
2 - Tensioning device for V-ribbed belt
3 - Generator
4 - Air conditioner compressor
– Turn tensioning device anticlockwise -arrow-, pull out locking
pin - T10060 A- .
– Release pressure on tensioning device.
– Check that the V-ribbed belt is positioned correctly.
– Start end and check that the V-ribbed belt is running correctly.

Removing
– Remove the V-ribbed belt from the tensioning device .
