Removing
– Open cap -arrow- for coolant expansion tank.
WARNING
There is risk of injury due to hot steam and hot coolant.
♦ When the engine is warm, the cooling system is under
overpressure.
♦ Reduce excess pressure by covering the cap of the cool‐
ant expansion tank with a cloth and opening it carefully.
– Remove the sound dampening system ⇒ Body Work; Rep.
gr. 66 .
– Separate electrical plug connection -1-.
– Place a catch pan for workshop crane - VAS 6208- under‐
neath.
– At the charge air cooler pump - V188- disconnect coolant ho‐
ses with hose clamps -3094- .
– Loosen hose clamps -3- and remove coolant hoses.
– Undo screw -2- and remove charge air cooler pump - V188- .
Installing
Installation is performed in a similar way in the reverse order. Pay
attention to the following points:
Note
Secure all hose connections with hose clamps which comply with
the series design ⇒ Electronic Catalogue of Original Parts"ET‐
KA." .
– Install the noise insulation ⇒ Body Work; Rep. gr. 66 .
– Check coolant level
