WARNING
There is risk of injury from radiator fans starting up automati‐
cally.
♦ Before carrying out work in the fan shroud area, discon‐
nect the electrical plug connections.
♦ When the engine is warm, the cooling system is under
overpressure.
♦ Reduce excess pressure by covering the cap of the cool‐
ant expansion tank with a cloth and opening it carefully.
Note
Depending on the vehicle version, 3 radiator versions are instal‐
led.

Removing
– Loosen hose clamp -1- and remove air guide hose.
– Release screw left and right arrow -2-.
– Unclip and remove the air guide on the lock carrier.
Vehicles with radiator versions 1 and 2
– Place a catch pan for workshop crane - VAS 6208- under‐
neath.
– Loosen holding clamp -arrow- and remove bottom right cool‐
ant hose from charge air circuit cooler, allowing coolant to
drain.
