– Release screws -arrows- and pull off tensioning device -1- for
V-ribbed belt.
Install
Installation is performed in a similar way in the reverse order. Pay
attention to the following points:
– Install the V-ribbed belt.
Vehicles without air conditioning system

Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Counterholder - T10475-
Removing
– Remove the sound dampening system ⇒ Body Work; Rep.
gr. 66 .
– Remove V-ribbed belt
⇒ "1.2 Removing and installing poly V-belt", page 37
– Undo the screw -arrow-; to do so, use the counterholder -
T10475- .
– Unscrew bolt and remove V-ribbed belt pulley crankshaft.
Caution
There is a risk of destruction of the engine.
♦ So as not to adjust the timing the crankshaft must not be
turned while the vibration damper is removed.
Install
Note
Replace screws which have been tightened firmly to a torque
♦
angle.
All contact surfaces between screws, V-ribbed belt pulley
♦
crankshaft and crankshaft toothed belt sprocket must be free
of oil and grease.
