9.13.2 Laying Out the Water Detection Cable (Top Pipe Routing)

Context
When the air conditioner pipes are routed from the top, water detectors are installed in the
network cabinet and its opposite cabinet, and bound to the rack rail at the rear door using
cable ties. The binding position is 5 U away from the cabinet bottom.

(1) ECC800
Do not contact the water detection cable to metal, for this action will cause a false alarm. Take
protective measures when routing a water detection cable.
Procedure
Step 1 Plan the installation position for the fastener of the water detection cable. Ensure that the
water detection cable placed on the fastener is in good contact with the floor.

shows how the water detection cable is laid out.
(2) Network cable
One fastener is provided for a 1 meter long water detection cable.
