Removing Projector Covers

NOTICE: Never operate the projector or the fans without all the covers installed.

5.5.1 Air Filter Cover

The air filter cover is located at the front of the projector, next to the lens.
(Estimated Replacement Time: 6 minutes)
1. Use a #2 Phillips
of the filter (Figure 5-1).
2. To remove, pull the cover out and down from the projector
housing.
3. To reinstall, align the top tabs and reverse the above steps. Refer
to
5.5.2 Intake Air Filter, on page

5.5.2 Intake Air Filter

NOTICE: When installing the intake filter ensure the indicator
arrow is pointing in the direction of the airflow.
(Estimated Replacement Time: 8 minutes)
1. Remove the air filter cover. Refer to
2. Pull the air filter out of the cover.
3. When installing a new filter, align the tabs and push into the filter cover. Ensure that the arrow indicator on
the filter is facing in the direction of the airflow.

5.5.3 Front Face Skin

The front face skin is fastened to the projector housing by two tabs that interlock with the side skins, one screw
that attaches to a standoff inside the housing and five screws from the bottom of the housing.
(Estimated Replacement Time: 20 minutes)
1. Remove the top lid. Refer to
2. Use a 4mm hex key to remove the four screws securing
the skin to the corner brackets.
3. Use a #2 Phillps
screws along the bottom of the front skin. (Figure 5-2)
4. Release the coolant quick disconnects. NOTE: The
coolant reservoir is released with the front skin.
5. Remove the front face skin.
6. Use a 4mm hex key to remove the two screws securing
the reservoir to the front skin.
