Command:
ip pim hello-interval <interval>
no ip pim hello-interval
Function:
Configure the interface's hello_interval of pim hello packets. The "no ip pim hello-interval"
command restores the default value.
Parameter:
<interval> is the hello_interval of periodically transmitted pim hello packets', ranges from 1 to
18724s.
Default:
The default periodically transmitted pim hello packets' hello_interval is30s.

Usage Guide:
Hello messages make pim switches oriented each other and determine neighbor relationship. Pim
switch announce the existence of itself by periodically transmitting hello messages to neighbors. If
no hello messages from neighbors are received in the certain time, the neighbor is considered lost.
This value can't be greater than neighbor overtime.
Example:
Configure VLAN's pim-sm hello interval
Switch (config)#interface vlan 1
Switch(Config-if-Vlan1)#ip pim hello-interval 20
