Configuring User-Defined Performance Monitoring
MIBs
The User Defined Failure PM table lets you configure up to 26 user-defined Performance Monitoring
(PM) SNMP MIB rules for SBC calls. Each rule represents a group of MIBs that counts the number
of specified SIP failure responses (e.g., SIP 403 and 504) and/or specified responses generated
internally by the device (e.g., CAC limit reached or NER threshold crossed). You can configure the
PMs to count responses due to sent SIP INVITE or REGISTER messages. In other words, these
PMs only count calls that fail before they can be established.
Each user-defined PM group includes the following PM MIBs:
acPMSBCInUserDefinedFailures<1-26>Table: Counts the total number of incoming
responses
acPMSBCOutUserDefinedFailures<1-26>Table: Counts the total number of outgoing
responses
Per SRD:
acPMSBCSRDInUserDefinedFailures<1-26>Table: Counts the total number of incoming
responses per SRD
acPMSBCSRDOutUserDefinedFailures<1-26>Table: Counts the total number of outgoing
responses per SRD
Per IP Group:
acPMSBCIPGroupInUserDefinedFailures<1-26>Table: Counts the total number of
incoming responses per IP Group
acPMSBCIPGroupOutUserDefinedFailures<1-26>Table: Counts the total number of
outgoing responses per IP Group
Defines the minimum number of call sessions (sample) that is
required for the device to calculate the performance monitoring
metrics (per window size). If the number of call sessions is less than
the configured value, no calculation is done.
The default is 10 calls.
Note: The calculation also depends on the configured sampling
window size (see 'Window Size' parameter). For example, if the
parameter is configured to 10 calls, but only 5 calls were processed
during the configured sampling window, no calculation is done.
Defines the time interval (in minutes) during which the device
calculates the performance monitoring metrics. For example, if the
parameter is configured to five minutes, the calculation is done for the
last five minutes.
The default is 5 minutes.
Note: The calculation depends on the configured minimum samples
(see 'Minimum Samples' parameter). For example, if the parameter is
configured to five minutes, but the number of calls during the interval
is less than the configured minimum samples, no calculation is done.
