Clear a Fault Manually

The fault history provides the date and time (TIMESTAMP) of the fault, the UUID, and the
MSGID of the fault.
In this example, three fault events occurred as indicated in the MSGID column. When the fault
was Repaired satisfactorily, Oracle ILOM marked the fault as Resolved.

Clear a Fault Manually
If Oracle ILOM detects a fault and consequential component replacement, Oracle ILOM
automatically clears the fault. However, if the host detects a fault, you must manually clear the
fault from Oracle ILOM after resolution by resetting the component.

Access Oracle ILOM.

Reset the component to clear the fault manually.

-> set target clear_fault_action=true
where target is the Oracle ILOM target of the faulted component.

For example, to reset and clear a fault with power supply 0:
-> set /SYS/PS0 clear_fault_action=true
Are you sure you want to clear /SYS/PS0 (y/n)? y
Set 'clear_fault_action' to 'true'
