Installing a cable is a cold-service operation. You must power off the server before installing the
cable.
1. Consider your first step.
If you are replacing a DVD SATA cable, remove the faulty or obsolete cable first, then

2. Connect the DVD SATA cable to the motherboard connector.
3. Route the DVD SATA cable to the drive backplane.
