Servicing NVMe Storage Drives, Switch Card,
and Cables
The procedure to install, remove, or replace an NVMe storage drive differs depending on the
operating system. You can replace the factory-installed NVMe switch card and NVMe cables in
case either of them become faulty, or you upgrade the server to use NVMe.
NVMe storage drives are supported only on servers that are running Oracle Solaris or
Note -
Oracle Linux. Servers that are running Oracle VM, Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux,
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, or VMware ESXi do not support NVMe drives.
These topics describe how to service the NVMe drives, swtich card, and cables.
