Cause
No disk controller was found. If a disk controller is currently installed, it is either
disabled or defective.
Boot process was started by a hard reset. This message might be seen at initial
power on.
Boot process was started by a warm reset.
Keyboard controller is being initialized.
Keyboard cannot be initialized. Alternatively, the keyboard is unplugged.
Memory configuration is being sized.
There are no bootable media sources configured, enabled, or available.
Alternatively, bootable media is available, but lacking true boot capability. The boot
process terminates.
No physical memory was detected in the system. If DIMMS are currently installed,
they are of an unsupported architecture or completely defective. The boot process
terminates.
All installed memory has experienced an unrecoverable failure. The failure of one
or more DIMMs puts the remaining DIMMs into an unsupported configuration. The
boot process terminates.
No video controller was found. If a video controller is currently installed, it is either
disabled or defective. The boot process terminates.
Option ROMs are being initialized.
Memory space allocated for BIOS options is full and writes to the space cannot
continue. The remaining options are not configured.
Primary CPU is being initialized.
BIOS was configured to boot from a PXE server, however the PXE server was not
found, or the PXE server did not have the supported protocols or files available.
The boot process terminates.
Secondary CPUs are being initialized.
An attempt to enter the setup password has failed three times in a row. The boot
process terminates.
System boot was initiated.
An uncorrectable ECC error was detected in memory. A memory cell has failed in a
DIMM, and was not corrected.
User has initiated a boot to the operating system.
User has initiated access to the BIOS setup utility.
An attempt to enter the user password has failed three times in a row. The boot
process terminates.
Video controller is being initialized. This occurs during the keyboard controller
initialization.
