Connection of the Service PC to the Printer

NOTE:
Necessity of PC connection:
In following cases a PC network connection is mandatory, as these settings only can
be made via browser pages.
To enter the Mammo license
To create a Mammo host profile (required for mammo printing)
To configure Logical printers
To define a host profile for special Image or Connectivity settings (Annotations,
OEM Lut etc.)
Proceeding for PC Connection to the Printer at first switch-on:

Set-up your service PC for obtaining an IP address automatically:
Setting for Windows 98 / Windows ME / Windows 2000:
Select "Control Panel – Network – Properties – Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) –
Properties – Obtain an IP address automatically". Refer to Figure 1
Note: The path may differ for different operating systems.
Setting for Windows XP:
Select "Control Panel – Network Connections – Local Area Connection –
Properties – Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) – Properties – Tab: Alternative
Configuration – Automatic Private IP address". Refer to Figure 2

Switch on the printer

Start the Internet Explorer

Enter the printer default IP address "169.254.10.10" in the printer address
window.
NOTE:
As the IP address of the printer after installation is usually different from
169.254.XXX.XXX, APIPA connection can only be used during installation. After
change of the IP address to one different from 169.254.XXX.XXX and reboot the
APIPA connection is not possible anymore.
Recommendation: Make a bookmark in your browser for IP address 169.254.10.10
