(5) Print the Medical service test
image.
(6) Check the print stripes in the
medical image.
• If the vertical stripes are
acceptable, continue with next
step.
• If the vertical stripes are still
unacceptable, but improved
with respect to the first printed
medical image, repeat the
procedure.
• If the vertical stripes are still
unacceptable and not
improved with respect to the
first printed medical image
replace the Thermal Print
head (refer to Section 3.5).
(7) Perform a Film calibration.
Refer to section 2.1.
NOTE:
With Print Head Calibration only macro TPH banding can be solved. Sharp and or
small (10 mm) discontinuities can not be solved by a Print Head Calibration.

Smart Profile Calibration

WHEN TO BE
The smart profile calibration has to be performed in following cases:
PERFORMED
During the troubleshooting procedure.
In certain cases during maintenance. Refer to section 9, Maintenance.
PURPOSE
Equalization of TH resistor drift in the area of 10" film black borders when printing in
mixed format conditions (mix of 10" and 14" print width).
A 14x17" film is required to perform this calibration.
66 densities have to be measured and to be entered in the browser screen.
