Removal and Installation
Removal
CAUTION: The intake manifold and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve must not
be separated.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
Installation
Transit/Tourneo Connect 2002.5 (06/2002-)
1. Remove the exhaust manifold.
Refer to: Exhaust Manifold
1.8L Duratorq-TDCi (Lynx) Diesel/1.8L Duratorq-
TDDi (Lynx) Diesel, In-vehicle Repair).
2. Remove the EGR cooler.

NOTE: The gaskets are to be reused unless
damaged.
Discard the nuts.
Torque: 24 Nm
