3. Using the special tool, remove the front halfshaft
oil seals.
Vehicles with diesel engine
NOTE: Only required for sealing repairs.

Remove the speedometer drive pinion.
All except vehicles with a diesel engine
NOTE: Only required for sealing repairs.
5.
Remove the vehicle speed sensor (VSS).
All vehicles
NOTE: Do not remove the locating dowels.
6.
Undo the transmission housing bolts.
