CAUTION: The fuel filter support bracket is the ground connection for the fuel filter.
Make sure that the mating surfaces are clean and free from foreign material.

1. Press in the fuel filter support bracket retaining
clip and remove the fuel filter support bracket
and fuel filter.
2. Disconnect the water-in-fuel sensor electrical
connector (if equipped).
NOTE: Make sure that the locating arrows on

the fuel filter and the fuel filter support
bracket are correctly aligned.
Fill the fuel filter with clean diesel.
