AUX Page
AUX Mode
5-30 Operation
This page contains the controls for the AUX 1 to 4 auxiliary sends .
ON
On/off control for the individual AUX sends; highlighted if on.
This On button is greyed out if the Aux send is set to on, but no audio is sent
to the AUX bus for any reason. This happens in case of Off Air Record or in
BC PF mode if the channel is on air.
This button allows the selection of the AUX Mode. Three AUX Modes are
possible : PF 'pre-fader', AF 'after-fader' or BC PF 'Broadcast PFL, pre-
fader'. The currently active mode is displayed on every Aux send.
PF
The Aux send is tapped from the channel before the fader - 'pre-fader'.
AF
The Aux send is tapped from the channel after the fader - 'after-fader'.
BC PF
The Aux send is tapped from the channel before the fader - and the Aux send
is cut, when the channel goes on air. 'Broadcast PFL, pre-fader'.
Note :
In the configuration tool, the Broadcast PFL mode can further be specified.
With respect to BC PF, it can be specified whether the Aux send is cut when
the channel goes on air (and then comes back after the fader is closed again),
or whether the Aux send is switched off for this channel after it has gone on
air. See
chapter
If PF or BC PF is selected for an AUX, a bullet is visible at the left of the
corresponding bar graph on the channel screen. If AF is selected, the bullet
is visible at the right of this bar graph.
Level
The AUX send level is indicated by the orange-colored bar graph. Its exact
value is displayed in dB and can be set with the rotary encoder below the
field. Maximum setting is +12 dB.
