When pressing the SEL (select) key, the channel page is displayed on the main
SEL
screen module and shows the last active menu. There, the user can adjust
parameters for this channel or select a different page – either by the touch

fields and/or the rotary encoders below the main screen module, or by the PC
mouse and keyboard. The SEL key is also used for selecting MPX conference
members or channels in partial snapshots.
If a channel screen module is attached, a specific function in a channel can
directly be selected by touching the corresponding symbol on the channel
screen.
The REC function is used to assign the channel signal directly to the record
REC
bus, regardless of the fader position, the ON key, and the bus assignment. If
active, the key is lit in red.
 TB For N–X owner channels, this key's function is TB (talkback) to the N–X
return. If more than one owner is configured to the same N–X output, all
corresponding TB keys work in parallel.
'Joker
This key's function can change dynamically, depending on the source
Key'
routed to this channel, therefor it is also referred to as 'Joker key'. Its func-
tions are configured in the corresponding input pages of the Configuration
Tool.
Examples:
If a telephone line is routed to this channel, the TB key's function is talkback,
whereas if a CD player is routed to this channel, its function is LOC. This will
send a locate command from the GPO to a CD player. As soon as the CD
player is ready, it sends a corresponding signal to the GPI which illuminates
the key.
Fader
Since the audio path is fully digital, the signal does not pass through the
faders; linear-track mono faders with a stroke length of 100 mm are used.
When opening the fader, fader start or signaling commands can be released,
depending on the configuration.
'0 dB on top'
With SW V3.2, an additional '0 dB on top' fader scale mode is available that
can be activated individually for every user with the Configuration Tool; it
simply shifts the whole fader scale by 10 dB.
Master Fader Any fader can be configured as a master/group/N–X send fader.
If a channel screen module is present, it is clearly indicated on the screen
that the selected channel strip has a different function. The master function is
indicated in the channel label display as well, and the LEVEL LED bar graph
meter on the channel strip remains dark. The ON key is disabled when the
fader is configured as master fader for either one of the master outputs, and
the PFL function is enabled.
An LED bar graph meter is provided in each channel strip, either indicating
LEVEL
the input level, or the N–X or AUX send level of the channel. The top red
LED indicates an overload condition at analog inputs. This meter remains
dark if the channel is configured as master fader.
Input Level Indication
It is configurable whether the meter displays the PF or AF signal of this chan-
nel. The value indicated on the meter is depending on the console's headroom
setting (default value: 0 dB indication for –9 dB
).
FS
N–X or AUX send level indication: In this mode the meter indicates the N–X
or AUX send level of the channel.
