5-116 Operation
The selection behaviour for external lines with connection to another facility
(including return line) is dependent on the LineTakeOver setting.
- If LineTakeOver is off, then such a busy line is only selectable in "listen
mode". This means just as input source (2-wire) to one of the inputs in
group "External Input 1-8".
- If LineTakeOver is on, then the busy line can be taken over from the other
facility, but this action needs a user confirmation.
LineTakeOver is a configuration setting in the file probel_contr_ext.
ini. For details please refer to
A locked line is currently in use and disabled for selecting or listening to it.
Lines can be locked only by the RCS in the master control room.
A reserved line can only be listened to but not selected, except from the facil-
ity the line is reserved for. Lines can be reserved only from the RCS in the
master control room.
During power-up initialization, the console asks for all router label names.
The RCS sends all label names and immediately updates the console as soon
as any of the labels is modified.
Source names, router groups, and other attributes are used in the CHAN
- Input page of the user GUI to provide the pop-up lists to select from, as
described in
chapter
5.8.8.1. During power-up initialization, the console asks
for the names of all sources of the router on the levels 1 to 4. The RCS sends
all source names on any level and immediately updates the console as soon
as any source changes.
This allows the console to maintain the information for the pop-up input lists.
