This solution should only be used in limited, exceptional cases. Due to the
disadvantages of the Netgear FVS 318, it is not intended for professional
7 x 24 h operation.

Another stand-alone network solution is supported with host software V2.1
or later. It allows defining fixed IP addresses and additional network settings
such as DNS server, default gateway, etc. in the container.ini file for each
OnAir 3000 network subsystem. In this case a DHCP server is no longer
needed.
Due to the low price and the fan-less switch, this solution is suitable for single
consoles as well as for small OnAir 3000 networks with a few consoles.
The following shows a single OnAir 3000 console, where each network sub-
system (core, desk, channel screens) has a manually defined, fixed IP address.
It is suggested to use the Netgear FS 516 (order no. 89.20.1153) that can be
mounted together with the core into a 19" rack located in the studio.
