The subject of this chapter is to provide the required knowledge for configur-
ing the OnAir3000 console according to customer-specific applications.
The goal is to describe the A/B Desk Mode rather than describing all con-
figuration parameters one after the other as they are listed in the tree of the
Configuration Tool.
The configuration of the OnAir 3000 console is saved in different files and
in different locations.
*.ini files are located on each container. They are text files that may easily
be edited in a standard text editor such as 'Notepad'.
E.g. container.ini, cab_interfaces.ini, etc.

*.xml files are mainly located on the Compact Flash cards of the SCore
and the Desk Containers.
*.xml files can easily be edited with a standard text editor. However, due
the complexity of some of the *.xml files, the use of an XML editor such
as XML Spy (www.altova.com) is recommended.
There exist customer-specific *.xml files and system- or software-related
*.xml files. Only the customer-specific *.xml files will be modified
during console configuration.
